How to remove the steering wheel airbag on a Chrysler 300? Before removing the steering wheel, disconnect the battery terminals located in the boot. Follow these steps to remove the airbag: remove the inspection caps at the back of the steering wheel (if present), then unscrew the securing screws of the airbag (back of the steering wheel) using a socket or screwdriver. Once the airbag (driver's side) is released, disconnect the power connectors and remove it from the steering wheel. Remove the steering wheel (unscrew the large bolt with the appropriate socket) and prepare to install the new parts.
