Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

The camshaft position sensor is located to the side of the rocker cover and is a type of plastic disc secured with two pins. First, remove the securing pins to detach it, then disconnect the corresponding connector after unlocking the clip by sliding it. Next, attach the connector to the new sensor by securing the clip, position the sensor in its housing ensuring the o-ring gasket adheres properly, and tighten the securing pins. The proper functioning of this sensor is crucial as it provides the engine management unit with important information regarding the position of the valves.
