Operation: Camshaft sensor replacement

The camshaft position sensor is positioned on the side of the tappet cover and is a sort of plastic disc fixed with two pins. Therefore unscrew the fixing pins to be able to remove it and disconnect the relative socket after having unlocked the safety by sliding it. Then apply the grip to the new sensor by hooking the safety catch, position the sensor in its seat taking care to make the o-ring adhere correctly and tighten the relative fixing pins. The regular operation of this sensor is very important as it provides the engine management control unit with important information regarding the position of the valves.
