Replacing the timing belt is not the typical do-it-yourself maintenance since an installation mistake could seriously damage the engine; in any case, if you want to try this repair, proceed as follows; lift the car on suitable car stands and remove the right front wheel and the relative wheel arch to access the pulleys; then apply a jack under the engine to be able to support it since it is also necessary to remove the lateral support; then remove the auxiliary belt and disassemble the crankshaft pulley; rotate the crankshaft in order to align the timing marks, loosen the tensioner and remove the toothed belt to be able to install the new one without rotating the pulleys.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
