In this video, you will learn how to adjust the tensioner of the timing belt on the Chrysler PT Cruiser. First, ensure the engine is at room temperature. Make sure you have all the necessary tools before starting the job. Lift the vehicle on a ramp and remove the front right wheel, the wheel arch, and any other covers to access the components that need to be removed. Drain the coolant and remove the fuel filter, the windscreen washer filler neck, and the expansion tank for the coolant. At this point, you can access the timing belt tensioner and adjust it as needed.
