Replacing the Rocker Cover Gasket

Model: Chrysler Pt Cruiser MK 1 - Years 2000-2010

To replace the rocker cover gasket (the cover of the camshaft), you must first remove the intake manifold. Start by disconnecting the hose that goes from the air filter box to the throttle body, then disconnect the vacuum lines from the throttle body itself. Next, proceed to remove the intake manifold, disconnecting the vacuum lines and hoses without removing the wiring; it is sufficient to move it aside to access the rocker cover. At this point, remove the ignition coils, spark plug leads, and pull out the rubber seals, then unscrew the fastening pins of the cover itself. Before applying the new gasket and proceeding with reassembly, clean the gasket seating thoroughly.
