The operation of resetting the BSI unit on the Citroën Xsara Picasso is carried out by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes. To disconnect it, you will need to loosen the screws that secure the driver's seat in the front and back: once these screws are unscrewed, it will be possible to lift the seat and the panel underneath, which contains the battery.

This must be disconnected for about 3 minutes and then can be reconnected; after the connection, it will be possible to reassemble the removed parts, ensuring that the BSI unit is effectively reset.
