How to replace the battery of the Citroen C4 Picasso 1

Today we will explain how to replace a car battery on your own, specifically we will see how to replace the battery of a Citroen C4 Picasso 1 diesel model. To replace the battery, we need to open the front hood and locate the position of the battery, which in our case is on the right side of the engine. Disconnect the positive terminal block by pulling it upwards and open the plastic guide of the positive terminal cable to remove the cable. Using a small flat-head screwdriver, move the support tab to detach it from the battery box. Remove the plastic cover of the battery and with a 10 socket wrench, unscrew the nuts on the support plate to remove the battery. After removing the support plate, pull upwards on the negative terminal block to disconnect it and remove the battery. Before installing the new battery, scrape off the layer of white oxide that has accumulated on the terminals using sandpaper. Then insert the new battery and connect the negative terminal block, immediately after using a 10 wrench, tighten the nuts on the support plate to prevent the battery from moving during vehicle use. Connect the positive terminal to the battery and mount the plastic cover.
