In the event of a power failure to the engine, a problem could lie in the malfunction of the fuel pump. Before disassembling the pump remove the connector and with the help of a tester check that the 12V power supply is present. Otherwise the fault could lie in the blown fuse. If the power supply is present, lift the protective cover and with a wrench remove the side fixing ring of the fuel pump housing. Gently lift the cover paying attention to the power cables. To extract the pump, unthread the feed pipe and extract it vertically, letting the petrol flow inside.
