Operation: Replacement of the valve cover casing gasket

To replace the valve cover gasket, you must first unhook some connectors as shown in the initial images. Then you have to unhook the connector that carries current to the coils and then unscrew the entire block of the latter. Now that you have the free space you can proceed by unscrewing the valve cover screws. Once the crankcase has been removed, clean the entire edge where the new gasket will rest. Then remove the internal bulkhead of the crankcase. The gasket has a small protrusion which obviously will be placed on the same side as the one you removed. Refit the internal crankcase on the engine, insert the spacers and refit the valve cover with the new gasket. Reassemble the coils with their connector and any other connectors or tubes that you have disconnected. Car Model: Citroen C2
