Replacing the Diesel Filter

Model: Citroen Xsara Picasso MK 1 - Years 1999-2012
Part: Diesel fuel filter

Open the engine bonnet and locate the diesel filter. To access it, you need to remove the expansion tank for the coolant by simply unhooking the retaining springs. Remove the air intake hose and disconnect the diesel supply pipes and connector, unhook the springs, and remove the filter. Take off the filter cover, replace the cartridge and the O-rings for the pipes. Refit the cover and reinstall the filter in its housing, reconnecting the supply pipes and the connector. Using the emergency pump, fill the inside of the filter with fuel.
