To top up the engine oil of a Citroen C4 Picasso, first ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and that the engine is cold to avoid burns. Open the bonnet and locate the oil filler cap, usually marked with an oil can icon.

Remove the cap and insert a funnel to prevent spills. Slowly pour in the recommended engine oil from the owner's manual, adding small amounts at a time.

It is crucial not to overfill, so frequently check the level using the dipstick. After each addition, wipe the dipstick, reinsert it, and check the oil level.

Continue adding oil until the level is between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick. Once the correct level is reached, remove the funnel, replace the oil cap, and ensure it is securely closed.

Start the engine for a few minutes to allow the oil to circulate, then turn it off and check the level again to ensure it is adequate. If necessary, add a bit more oil.
