Replacing the engine oil and oil filter is a straightforward and quick task that you can do yourself on a Citroen C4 Picasso. First, open the front bonnet and unscrew the oil filler cap to facilitate oil drainage.

Lift the vehicle and remove the engine cover, then unscrew the nut that secures the oil sump and allow the engine oil to drain into a container. Once the oil has stopped flowing, remove the container and close the nut, then refit the engine cover and lower the vehicle.

Using a socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the oil filter housing and open the housing cover. Replace the filter and reassemble the housing in the front bonnet.

Pour the necessary amount of oil into the oil reservoir.
