How to Change the Key Remote Battery on a Cupra Formentor

To replace the battery in the key remote for a Cupra Formentor, press the unlock button to extract the emergency mechanical key from the remote. Then, use the same key or a small plastic tool to pry in the groove of the casing and gently separate the two halves of the remote. Once opened, locate the button battery and remove it, taking care of the polarity position. Insert a new battery of the same type, ensuring the correct orientation. Close the remote securely until the clips snap into place and reinsert the mechanical key into its slot. Finally, check that the unlock and lock buttons function correctly.
