If you own a 2009 Dodge Ram and want to manually reset the engine oil light that remains illuminated on the dashboard even after performing the regular oil change and filter replacement, follow these steps. First, get in the vehicle, insert the key, and press the ignition button.

At this point, within ten seconds, press the accelerator pedal three times in quick succession and wait for the confirmation that the oil light has been reset. Finally, turn off the panel, and you are done.
