How do you operate the lights on the Fiat 500L? This is shown in a brief video. Specifically, the vehicle in the video is a 2014 model: the multifunction lever for the lights is located on the left side of the steering column and controls most of the vehicle's lights.

The position lights are activated with the ignition off by rotating the end of the lever upwards to the first position. With the ignition on, the daytime running lights activate by turning the lever to position "0", while the dipped headlights activate by turning the lever to the next position.

The main beam is activated by pulling the lever towards you and deactivated by pushing it towards the dashboard. The "flash" function is activated with two short pulls towards you. The "followMe" function activates when you switch off the vehicle, keeping the headlights on for the next 30 seconds to light your way: this can be set for a maximum of 210 seconds.

The fog light control is located on the central console to the right of the hazard light switch; however, the fog lights can only be turned on with the dipped headlights activated.
