Replacement of the engine air filter on Fiat 500X

Model: Fiat 500 500 X - Years 2014-2022

Pull the black plastic lever located inside the vehicle, to the left of the pedals. Release the front hood after lifting it slightly. Keep it open with the rod provided on the left. Once the hood is lifted, you will find the air filter to the left of the engine. Disconnect the electrical connector located above the large ventilation tube (disconnect the connector with a screwdriver). Unscrew the three screws holding the filter container with a crosshead screwdriver. Unscrew the screw that locks the metal clamp around the tube and remove the Air Box cover from inside the engine compartment. Once the container is open, remove the old filter and vacuum any residue inside the Air Box to avoid engine problems. Place the new filter inside the container, making sure the arrows are facing downward. Connect the ventilation tube, screwing the screw above the clamp. Close the filter container with the cover and reconnect the electrical connector above the ventilation tube.
