Iridium is a metal extremely resistant to wear and high temperatures, so they will last much longer than traditional ones, up to 100,000 km or more. The central electrode is also thinner and allows for a more concentrated and powerful spark, leading to more efficient fuel combustion and better performance. Otherwise, changing the spark plugs compared to normal ones does not present any difference: we must pay attention both during removal and repositioning to not drop the spark plugs inside, so it is good practice to use a magnetic screwdriver, in any case they must be tightened to 23Nm.
