How to tell if the windshield washer pump is not working

In this video we will see how to verify that the windshield washer pump is working. In this case, the test is being conducted on a Fiat Ducato X244, but it can be done on any vehicle. We will need two cables and a light bulb. We connect the cables, one to a ground and one to the positive pole, and place the light bulb in a spot where we can see it well while we go to make contact with the dashboard. By moving the pump control from the dashboard, we see that the light bulb lights up, so the current to the pump is reaching it; therefore the problem is the motor that is not working. It's not a great consolation, but at least we have identified the issue.
