To open the bonnet of a Fiat Punto, first, place the car on a ramp or lift it safely using a click located on the opposite side of the driver's side. Next, lay down a protective cover on the floor so you can lie underneath the vehicle to see the bonnet opening and closing mechanism located at the front of the bonnet (just above the radiator grille).

Once in position, locate the bonnet release cable (which is connected to the release lever inside the cabin) and pull it with your hand in the opposite direction to the opening mechanism. At this point, you’re done! Just unlock the latch with your fingers and open the bonnet.
