Replacing the Timing Belt on a Fiat Idea

Replace the timing belt on a Fiat Idea: lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner). Once these steps are completed, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Use a suitable spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off; use the spanner to tighten the tensioner pulley until the correct tension is achieved on the previously fitted belt. Finally, check the tensioner and the belt itself, then tighten everything with a socket wrench.
