Especially on campers and vans, like this Fiat Ducato, the alarm may sound for no apparent reason, particularly at night. The cause is often the volumetric sensor set to a sensitivity that is too high, interpreting harmless movements, such as a leaf on the windscreen, as intrusions.

Identify the error code; on the next ignition after the alarm has triggered, the alarm LED will flash in a specific sequence: this sequence is a code that can be decoded using the alarm manual. The control unit is often located behind removable plastic panels: locate the two connectors, where you will find a small adjustment screw: using a very small screwdriver, turn the screw to the left (minimum sensitivity) then turn it to the right by 2-3 mm to set the sensitivity to 1/5 of the maximum power.

Close everything up and test the alarm to ensure it only protects the interior of the cabin.
