Removing the Timing Belt on a Fiat Punto

To replace the timing belt, you need to access the engine from the side. After lifting the car, remove the front right wheel and the corresponding wheel arch liner. Now, loosen the bolts of the pulley on the crankshaft and make space for manoeuvres from the top of the engine by removing the air filter and the engine mount after placing a jack under the engine itself. Now, remove the timing belt cover in two pieces and disconnect the sensor cables that pass through it. Before starting the final disassembly, take the necessary precautions for timing as shown.
