Part: Carburetor
Operation: How to clean the Fiat carburetor

When a vehicle remains stationary for a long time it is plausible that deposits may form in the carburetor, for this reason, before attempting to start the engine, it is always advisable to clean the carburetor; for the Fiat 126 the operation is extremely simple; you will start by removing the cover of the air filter container by disconnecting the sleeve that connects it to the carburetor; then unscrew the fixing screws of the elbow fitting on the carburetor, the fuel pipes, the accelerator and air cables; at this point unscrew the fixing pins at the base of the carburetor to remove it from its seat; therefore carry out an external wash with petrol to remove any residual dirt before opening it; unscrew the four upper screws to remove the cover and access the jets which must be unscrewed and cleaned, checking that the passage lights are perfectly free; finally reassemble everything by proceeding backwards.
