How to remove the thermostat from inside the engine bay of a Fiat Punto? Here’s how to do it in a few steps. Lift the front bonnet of the car, and remove the engine soundproofing panel. Unscrew the bolts of the thermostat hose (disconnect the pipe), pull out the sealing cap, and extract the coolant thermostat. Insert the new part and close it with the hose cap. Tighten the bolts properly, and you’re done. Ensure that the valve is inserted and mounted correctly in the appropriate housing. Refit the cover panel over the engine. Test the operation of the Punto.
