Fuel Filter Replacement

Model: Fiat Punto MK 3, Punto EVO, 199, Grandepunto - Years 2005-2018
Part: Diesel fuel filter

The diesel filter is located in the engine bay on the passenger side, just below the windscreen: before starting disassembly, position a container underneath the vehicle to catch any diesel spills and disconnect the battery. The inlet and outlet pipes are secured to the filter with safety valves: simply press the lock to release them; then unscrew the clamp bolt to remove the filter, disconnecting the connector from the bottom where the blockage sensor is located (this sensor must be fitted to the new filter, replacing the o-ring gasket) and insert the new one; connect the pipes ensuring the locks click into place. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine 3-4 times to fill the filter.
