In this video, see how to replace the thermostat in a Fiat Barchetta, a very simple operation. First, it is advisable to drain the entire coolant circuit, although it is not strictly necessary. To remove the thermostat, disconnect the temperature sensor connector and the various coolant hoses by loosening the metal clip screws. Once everything is disconnected, undo the two thermostat mounting bolts using a socket spanner. To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure, remembering to also insert a new gasket.
