Let's see how to replace the steering wheel of a Fiat Panda 169: you can find a used one on eBay for £65.00 (+ £15.00 shipping), but remember that used deals must be grabbed quickly. A scrap dealer can also help you with this part. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Then, remove the horn/airbag assembly; there are no screws, just clips at the three spokes of the steering wheel, inserting a screwdriver from behind. Disconnect the electrical connectors. Now, remove the 24mm nut that secures the steering wheel. There is a mark on the steering column and the wheel to help you align it correctly. Remove the old wheel, being careful not to disturb anything inside the column, and reposition the new one. Reconnect the airbag and horn electrical connectors and press it back into place. Finally, reconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Job done.
