To replace the timing belt on a Fiat 124, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay. The timing belt will be located at the front of the engine block and must be removed from its housing by loosening the central nut of the tensioner pulley. This will reduce the tension on the belt, allowing you to slide it off and replace it with a new one. After installing the new belt, close the engine bay and check that everything functions correctly.
