Replacing the Air Filter on the Fiat 500

At the scheduled maintenance interval for the Fiat 500, you need to change the air filter to keep the engine efficient and reduce fuel consumption. If you drive on particularly dusty roads, it is advisable to change it sooner. To replace it, open the bonnet and locate the filter box cover directly in front of you, at the top. Using a 7mm socket, undo the three screws securing the cover; these screws are designed to remain in their positions to prevent loss. Remove the old filter element and insert the new one, ensuring that the rubber edge fits into its housing. Close the cover and tighten the three screws.
