How to Change the Water Pump on a Fiat Panda

If only water is introduced into the engine cooling system instead of the proper coolant, rust may form in the system, causing damage to the water circulation pump, which can also seize up with obvious consequences. The pump is driven by the timing belt: to replace it, start by draining the coolant, remove the auxiliary belt, align the timing marks, then loosen the tensioner of the timing belt and slide it off before proceeding to replace the water pump. A new timing belt will obviously be installed.
