Replacing the gaiter and gear knob on the Fiat Panda 169

If the gear knob on the Fiat Panda has become loose and does not stay in position but rotates freely, consider replacing it. Grip it firmly and pull to the side to remove it, unlock the base of the gaiter, and pull it off along with the spring. Cut the tie wrap and retrieve the cylinder that slides on the rod, take the replacement kit, insert the gaiter at the base of the cylinder, and secure it with Velcro and a new tie wrap.

Slide the cylinder onto the rod and secure the base of the gaiter, place the spring at the base of the knob, insert the knob onto the rod, and using a rubber mallet, secure it in position.
