Replacing the timing belt on the 2015 Ford Focus with a 1.0 Ecoboost 3-cylinder engine is a relatively simple task that can be done independently with the help of our video tutorial. First, open the bonnet to locate the timing belt tensioner on the right side of the engine.

Second, loosen the nuts that secure the tensioner and the other pulleys to slacken the belt and remove it. Once the belt is removed, tighten the nuts on the pulleys and the tensioner to reposition the belt.
