To replace the timing belt on the Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost, loosen the bolts securing the front right wheel of the car so that it can be removed along with its corresponding wheel arch. Then, open the bonnet to detach the cover on the side of the engine block, revealing the underlying belt. To remove it, loosen the central nut of the tensioner pulley to reduce its tension; the new replacement part can now be inserted, reposition the pulley, and check that everything functions correctly.
