How do you replace the handbrake of the Ford Mondeo?

In order to replace the handbrake of the Ford Mondeo, you need to loosen the screws that secure all the panels of the central tunnel lining: once these lining panels have been detached, you can locate the underlying screws that secure the handbrake lever mechanism in its seat. You will need to loosen them so that the lever can be removed, disconnecting the cables connected to the rear brake calipers. Once these are disconnected, you can completely remove the lever and replace it with a new one.
