To replace the handbrake cable on a Ford Mondeo, lift the car with a jack or ramp to access the bolts securing the right rear wheel. Once this wheel is removed, you can access the cable that needs to be disconnected from the brake caliper. Then, from underneath the car, detach the silencer from the bracket, thus disconnecting the handbrake cable. This will allow you to fit the new handbrake cable by securing it and adjusting its tension.
