How to Install the Fuel Filter on the Ford Fiesta 1.5

The diesel filter on this latest generation Fiesta equipped with a 1.5 engine is located at the rear right of the engine compartment, when viewed from the front, next to the battery compartment: it is identified by the fuel inlet and outlet pipes connected to it. For this type of maintenance, you can choose to purchase the complete filter with a plate for about £38 or just the filter element for about £21. To replace it, start by removing the protective plate applied directly above the filter, then disconnect the pipes, the connector, and the fastening pins. Once the entire filter is removed, you can replace it with a new one or remove the plate to install a new filter unit, ensuring the o-ring seal is correctly seated.
