Remove and Replace the Timing Belt on a Ford Focus

Remove and replace the timing belt on a Ford Focus: lift the car on a column lift or pneumatic jack and remove the right front wheel. Then, remove the right wheel arch liner with a screwdriver (take out the plastic rivets). Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, remove the water pump as shown in the video. Install the new water pump (if removed), the tensioner, and the belt, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, reinstall the rivets with the wheel arch liner and mount the wheel back onto the vehicle.
