How to change the front brake pads on the Ford Fiesta VI

To perform this operation on the Ford Fiesta VI, we open the hood and unscrew the brake fluid reservoir; loosen the wheels and lift the car by placing it on two jack stands, which will keep it safely lifted. If the car is equipped with start & stop, deactivate it before starting the work. Retract the piston by inserting a flathead screwdriver into the caliper hole and levering it, then unscrew the bolt with a 13mm wrench to remove the two screws. Hang the caliper to avoid tension on the brake hydraulic hose. Remove the old brake pads by sliding them out. Clean the seat with a wire brush and brake cleaner. Normally, the new brake pads kit also includes anti-noise pads, so remove the old ones. Apply copper grease on the supports of the new brake pads and then insert them into the caliper; reassemble it and tighten the bolt to 35 Nm. Repeat the process on the other side.
