What is the cause of the smoking injectors problem on the Ford C-Max?

In this video we can see the problem with a Ford C-Max where the injectors are smoking visibly with the engine bay open. Once the injectors are removed, we can see that the centering gaskets, at least for the one that was removed, were completely destroyed, and as a result the entire injector was completely covered in grime. Obviously, the lack of the gasket allowed the smoke to pass through. It was necessary to overhaul the injectors by replacing the gaskets and consequently replacing the diesel return pipe, which was clogged, with a rather approximate repair. Problem solved.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
