How to replace the coolant in the Ford Mondeo.

Let's see how to replace the coolant in the Duratec 1.8 engine of a Ford Mondeo. Safely lift the car and remove the lower cover to access the radiator. Then, place a container under the radiator drain, open the expansion tank, and unscrew the drain plug to let the old fluid flow out. Close the drain, fill the expansion tank with demineralized water, then start the engine while turning the heater to maximum until the water circulates in the heating circuit. Turn off the engine and drain the water again. Repeat this flushing process 2 to 3 times until the water runs clear. Tighten the drain plug well and add 4 liters of concentrated violet OAT VSS M97B44-D coolant (available on auto-doc.it, EAN code 4027816374015, priced at €28.49 for a 5-liter canister (+ €9.95 shipping costs)). Complete the filling with demineralized water up to the maximum level. No air bleeding operations are necessary. Close the expansion tank cap and start the engine, take a drive, and then check the level again.
