How to Replace the Number Plate Light Bulb on a Ford Ka

Model: Ford Ka MK 2 - Years 2008-2016

Let's see how to replace the number plate light bulb on the first and second versions. You will need a W5W bulb, typical for interior and courtesy lights. Open the tailgate and position yourself to see the black plastic covering the rear light and the two number plate lights. You will see plastic covers above each number plate light; unlock the cover and use a small screwdriver to insert it into the slot on the outer side: apply a slight lever to unlock it. Remove the cover and pull out the bulb by turning it 1/4 turn counter-clockwise. Pull the bulb holder towards you: the bulb is only held in place by pressure, remove it and replace it with a new one by turning it clockwise. Replace the cover and close the tailgate.
