To independently replace the battery inside the key of your third-generation Ford Escape, follow the brief and simple procedure described below. First, purchase a new CR2032 battery, then take the car key and remove the emergency key from the top of the cover. Once done, open the protective cover using the emergency key and locate the dead battery to be replaced. Remove the old battery and insert a new CR2032 battery. Finally, reassemble the protective cover and insert the emergency key back inside.
