How to Manually Reset the BMS on the Ford Mondeo

For the Ford Mondeo MK5, there is a manual procedure to reset the BMS (Battery Management System) after replacing the battery without the need for diagnostic tools like Forscan or a dedicated tester. Turn on the ignition and flash the headlights five times, pulling the lever towards you five times as if to do a quick flash. Press the brake pedal three times (fully pressed and released in quick succession). Observe the battery light on the dashboard. If the procedure is successful, the battery light will flash for a few seconds and then turn off. This procedure is used after replacing the battery or after recharging it with an external charger.
