How to remove the fuel pump of a Ford Escort? To begin we disconnect the battery cables; we remove the seats of the rear seats. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the tightening screws of the metal cap and remove it from its seat (disconnect the power supply terminal). Unscrew the large locking pin of the fuel pump with a chisel, disconnect the power supply terminals and the liquid circulation pipes. We extract the floating fuel pump from its seat with attached pieces. Finally we reassemble the new piece in the tank and connect all the tubes.
