How to Change the Gear Oil in a Ford Fiesta

To change the gear oil in a Ford Fiesta, safely lift the vehicle and locate the drain and fill plugs of the gearbox. Before proceeding, it is advisable to unscrew the fill plug, then place a container under the gearbox and remove the drain plug to allow the complete drainage of the used lubricant. Once the draining is complete, reinstall the drain plug with the appropriate gasket, if required, and introduce the new oil through the fill hole using a pump or a suitable syringe. Continue filling until the oil reaches the correct level, beginning to overflow from the fill hole. Finally, close the plug, clean any oil residue, and check for leaks after a short test drive.
