How to replace the rear headlight bulb on a Ford Escape

To replace the rear headlight bulb on a Ford Escape, open the rear hatch and locate the fasteners of the light assembly. After removing the retaining screws, carefully pull the light out from the body, avoiding pulling on the connected wires. On the back of the light assembly, locate the socket that needs to be removed by twisting it out of its place. Remove the worn bulb and install the new one of the same type and wattage, avoiding touching the bulb with your fingers when specified. Then, reinsert the socket into the light and reattach the light assembly, tightening the fasteners again. Finally, close the hatch and check the proper functioning of the rear light, brake light, and turn signals.
