How to Disconnect the Airbag Control Unit on a Ford Fiesta

How to remove the airbag control unit from a Ford Fiesta? This operation is not straightforward; you need to remove the plastics from the centre console. Use a plastic lever to pry off the covering located at the bottom of the centre console, remove the leather gaiter of the gear lever and the knob. After removing the plastic covering, unscrew the fastening bolts located at the rear of the centre console using a socket wrench. Pull away the centre console and disconnect any power cables. Disconnect the battery terminals and finally unscrew the screws of the airbag control unit. Replace the unit with a new one and remove everything.
