This short video disassembles the heating system valve of a Ford Ka piece by piece to determine the cause of its failure. As shown in the video, coolant somehow managed to bypass all seals and gaskets, reaching the coil. This caused the coil to seize and the heating system to stop working. Since the valve is not expensive, it is recommended to replace the entire unit rather than attempt a repair and reuse.
