How to Replace the Heater Tap on a Ford Ka

If cold air continues to blow from the vents even when the cabin heater is activated, it is likely that the tap controlling the flow of hot water in the cabin heating circuit is damaged; this tap (which is actually a solenoid valve) is located just below the windscreen, beneath the plastic protection grille and is easy to find as a replacement in the aftermarket. Fortunately, to replace it, you do not need to remove the internal radiator as it is connected to it via two hoses secured with clips; proceed by draining the coolant, disconnecting the battery, then removing the wiper control arms and the plastic grille; at this point, simply disconnect the connector and hoses to proceed with the tap replacement.
