The passenger compartment heating actually uses the engine coolant which is then passed, through a special tap, into a small radiator located inside the passenger compartment which allows the surrounding air to be heated; this tap is operated by an electric motor which regulates the opening of the valve according to the settings of the air conditioner; this valve is located in the engine compartment, immediately below the windscreen, in a central position: in order to reach it, the plastic covering grille must be removed.
